Clean Your House
I am a professional organizer. My specialty is not in cleaning home spaces. It is decluttering and organizing:
- A home office
- The 4 paper types
- ANY cluttered or disorganized room, drawer, or closet in a home.
However, in my nearly 10 years as a professional organizer, I have learned from my clients how to clean your house with some house cleaning tools that minimize the work.
Here are a few of our favorite house cleaning tools and products:
_ __ _ __ _ __ _ __ _ __ _
Declutter Boxes – This clutter busterincludes 3 bags or boxes that are labeled. Each time we begin a project with a client, we label our boxes and find we can tackle any room zone with space to spare.
Window Track & Grout Cleaning Brush – This brush allows a firm grip at all times, even while wet thanks to the soft rubber handle. Firm two-tone bristles reach into remote crevices. It also does a great job on tile grout. This neat clean your house tool measures 10″ long and 1″ wide. It is dishwasher safe and easy to use.
Hydrogen Peroxide and any Microfiber Cloth – This is the very best solution I have found to clean your house windows and glass surfaces. The Hydrogen Peroxide can be purchased for a few dollars at any pharmacy or grocery store.
Microfiber Cleaning Mitt – This handy dusting glove cleans your house as if it were the only cloth you ever needed. It is microfiber, super absorbent and can be used wet or dry. It seems to have thousands of little fingers to reach into those small crevices that are a part of our home furniture pieces. It is washable, reusable, and measures approximately 10″ by 8″. Lucky you…even the dollar stores are carrying these items now.
Swiffer Dusters – My blind cleaner, Mark, told me this is the best way to remove dust from wooden blinds. You must be willing to do so every 3-4 months when the dust is fairly new. Simply close your blinds so they are laying vertical rather than horizontal and swipe the blind with a dry swiffer duster. The duster pads are washable and reusable. They can be purchased at any grocery store.
Carpet Cleaner – The pod is a great innovation for upholstery and carpet spot and stain cleaning. This handy device is the only grab-n-go carpet cleaner that has all the cleaning tools in one! It features an oxygen-activated cleaning formula that removes tough stains and allows you to clean your house carpet spots completely. It contains a fabric-safe brush to get for deep cleaning and a grooming tool to revitalize the fabric or carpet fibers. It holds 6 oz. of cleaner.
Pet Hair Elimination Brush – The bristles of this brush create an electrostatic charge that attracts and holds pet hair. Pretty cool huh? It can be used to remove hair from clothing, furniture and floors. You can also use it as a mini broom to sweep up minor spills, wet or dry. The squeegee on the side helps clear wet surfaces. It measures 10″ long and is just under 2″ wide.
Because you should ALWAYS declutter before you clean, I offer you a down-loadable and printable kit that really simplifies decluttering and organizing any room in your home. Click here to find out the details.

This is a useful piece of information. The design of a home is of little importance if a home is cluttered and unclean. I’m happy you shared this helpful info with us.

My wife and I found that hydrogen peroxide is the best window and glass cleaner on the market AND it can be purchased for such a reasonable price.
